The origins of Nufox Rubber were in 1981, in Ashton under Lyne, Manchester, formed by a partnership of Derek Nubold and Fox Petroleum. In the late 1990’s we made some small acquisitions as the business grew and then in 2000 we relocated to a larger facility in Middleton, Manchester.

In the following years two companies were acquired; firstly Leyland and Birmingham Rubber Ltd, and then Dunlop Extrusions, both with a long heritage of producing high quality industrial rubber products. In addition both companies had been a part of the famous BTR conglomerate.

The benefit of these two companies joining was the addition of a number of highly skilled technical people with a volume of long-established rubber intellectual property, in the form of formulations and production techniques.

In 2007 we acquired the specialist hose business of Lee Healey, that had been hand building hoses since 1933. This was followed in 2010 by Eurocraft, which had a long history of producing specialist inflatable products for the rescue service, marine and leisure industries.
